Any
person age 60 or older is welcome to participate in activities at
the Senior Activity Center. A variety of drop-in activities
are available including bingo, scrabble, yoga, aerobics, Tai Chi,
pinochle, bridge, line dancing and square dancing. Books and
magazines, puzzles, card games and television are provided by the
Center. Coffee and snacks are available during the hours of
operation. The Gift Shop has many handmade articles on sale.
The Senior Activity Center is operated in cooperation with the
Newport Senior Citizen Activity Association, which provides
volunteer hostesses and hosts during open hours.
